Golfing in Cabo
There is a wide selection of beautiful golf courses along the coast between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. All have beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez and the surrounding mountains.
Tee-time reservations should be made as far in advance as possible (7 days is ideal) to assure availability and confirm your preferred dates and times.

Cabo San Lucas golf courses have a great deal to offer the serious golfer.
Golf Digest rated the Cabo del Sol golf course 70th place in the world. Jack Nicklaus declares that it has the best three finishing holes.
Of course, it hasn’t always been this way. Before 1983, it was just another piece of beautiful oceanfront property alongside the Los Cabos corridor, just 11 kilometers from Cabo San Lucas.
Cabo del Sol became the second project created by Don Koll in joint ownership with Koll International and ICA, one of Mexico’s largest, most successful developers. It is a master-planned development with two hotels: the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar and the Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos.
The Cabo del Sol golf course opened in May 1994, and played host to the Senior Slam in 1995 and 1998. The entire plan calls for up to 54 holes. The final total will be based on water availability - it takes 800,000 to 1,000,000 gallons of water a day to maintain a world class course.
Another fine example of golf resort development began in 1982, when Eduardo Sanchez Navarro (heir to the Corona Beer family) set his sights on over 3,000 acres between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. At that time, there were only 400 hotel rooms in Los Cabos, and less than one-third of those were considered first-class. This sloping land full of cactus and scrub brush, along with continuous views of the ocean, is now the master-planned area called Cabo Real Beach and Golf Resort.
Today Cabo Real is home to two world-class championship golf courses, and seven deluxe hotels with over 1,000 rooms. Two more international hotels are in the planning stages.
The success of Cabo Real brought on the opening of the spectacular El Dorado golf course, designed by Jack Nicklaus in 1999. Six holes hug the ocean and a carefully placed driving range has inspiring views of the Sea of Cortez. Residents have embraced this course as one of their favorites.
